A drawing of a hand
A couple of 1024x768 images suitable for desktop backgrounds are [here] and [here].
This was one of my first experiments with using line density to represent a shape. I started by laying my left hand flat on the piece of paper and drawing the larger background lines around it, terminating them on my hand. Once the background was done the next step was to draw the smaller foreground lines by bracnching the bckground lines.
